A Busy Weekend

Jasper has be on the go lately! Last Friday, we went to the Finney's house for a playdate with Jasper's friend, Matthew. The boys had a good time playing with play doh, finger painting, playing with trucks, riding tricycles, etc., etc.

On Saturday, we (and Colin) went to Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Brooke's house to celebrate their birthdays. We went in with Dad and Colin to get Mom and Nintendo Wii and Wii Fit. She was totally surprised, and she loves it! Colin and I went in together and got Dad a 20 minute tandem ride on a powered parachute. He seems pretty excited about that too. After opening gifts and playing the Wii, we all went to Peru to have lunch at, where else? Taco Johns!

Then, Josh, Jasper and I drove to Muncie (Jasper conveniently napped on the way.) We met the Binkerd's at the Muncie Children's Museum. Kylie (15 months) and Jasper got along very well. Jasper was hugging and kissing her all day! Jasper enjoyed the museum, especially the tractor, the slide, the "fishing" boat and the train display. Before we left, he got to make some sand art to take home.

After the museum we met Uncle Derek at the mall and then all went out to eat at Cheeseburgers in Paradise. They had really good sweet potato chips. Then we went to our favorite Muncie location - Incredible Yogurt. (All this on my no overeating during Lent - tricky, but I managed) THEN we took the kids to Toys R Us, and Jasper enjoyed riding the trikes in the store.

We changed Jasper into his PJs in the car in the parking lot (he didn't like sitting in the front seat he said it was scary - everything's scary these days.) He slept the whole way home! It was a fun day.

THEN on Sunday, we went to church, picked up Subway sandwiches and went to Grandpa Jacks and Grandma Judy's house to celebrate Jack's b-day. (His gift was an "experience day" with Josh - not sure if they decided on golf or what) Jasper loves playing with the toys and the dogs at their house. He was really showing off when Judy's parents were there - enough that he forgot to tell me he had to go potty and had an accident. (First one in a while!)
